PROBLEM: Burnout

The Original Equipment uses a stator that puts out continuous current and heat, so its water-cooled voltage regulator is subject to burnout. And even with an expensive replacement, the problem won't stay fixed.

SOLUTION: Model SPEDC-60

This new conversion kit utilizes the alternator found on most other Mercruiser stern drives, which charges only when current is needed, producing less heat and less chance of burnout.
